Steel City Women U23 made its long-awaited debut in '24. With grit, guile, and determination, they embodied the spirit of the community - hardworking, resilient and unyielding. And they won too, finishing 2nd place in the 13-team Illinois Women's Soccer League.
"Ladies Steel City", which played the '20 season in the United Women's Soccer League, preceded the establishment of Steel City's men's team.
The UWS lost its Midwest footprint after our first season and we remained unwavering in our commitment to rebuilding a team that upholds our high standards. Steel City Women returns to the league in '25!

We aspire to field a competitive semi-professional women's team that thrives in the most challenging environments. We provide a nurturing environment where players not only hone their skills but also receive support in pursuing their career aspirations, both within and beyond the realm of soccer.
