How did he instantly win over Joliet? By striking a game-winning 23-yard free kick against DeKalb in last year's home opener - and on his Steel debut.

Camacho followed it up with another game winner weeks later - a 30 yard free-kick bomb against Chicago City.

The Joliet resident arrived from playing in the Spanish football pyramid and had four goals and one assist last season.

Epitomizes Steel Strong, having co-captained the side for three season.

The former D1 star at University of Rhode Island is also Victor Andrew HS's all-time leader in goals (50+) and assists (49).

In his 5th year as boys varsity soccer coach at Lincoln Way East HS, Ribbens has led them to successively better records each season.

He netted a critical second half, game-tying goal in last year's home opener against DeKalb that Steel City went on to win.

Every team needs an imposing hard-man and it won't take long for the Bolingbrook resident to become a fan favorite.

Ainis Lapinskas played one season for Lockport Township HS after moving to the US from Lithuania. In his homeland, Lapinskas was part of Lithuania's U-16 National Team camp and was in residency for the national football academy in his hometown, Kaunas.

Makonnen Stampley is here to score goals. Stampley, part of this year's Lewis University team that reached the NCAA D2 Final Four, is from Romeoville.

After arriving from Ethiopia in high school, Stampley led Lockport Township HS in goals, assists and their first state trophy - a 3rd place finish - his senior season.

  🚨New Addition

Ryan Koschik continues to rise. The former FC Malaga City U19 player is at DI Mercer University after two seasons at Marquette.

Koschik attended Hinsdale Central HS while playing for Eclipse Select ECNL where he won an Illinois State Cup ('18) and was named ECNL Florida Showcase Standout Player ('21).

  📢Second International Joins Steel

Ali Sillah, capped by Gambia's U-17 National Team and remaining in the "Young Scorpions" player pool while prioritizing his education in the States, is the second capped international to join Steel City this offseason.

Ali won't be wearing the red-n-black of Steel City long; it's the type of player the club takes great pride and weight of responsibility to assist in fostering his next soccer steps.

Sillah played for the prestigious Eagles soccer club in Gambia before arriving in Chicago's south suburbs.

Sillah makes his debut at Steel City's home and season opener May 14th at Duly Health and Care Field at 7:30pm.

  🏴‍☠️Bosco

You know you're a fan favorite when Niko's Catering (@nikoscatering) runs a special on Bosco Sticks in your honor.

Jake Bosco is a poster-boy for the Steel City NXT concept. The forward was summonsed to the first team days before last season's season opener due to injuries. He never looked back; securing first team starts - on defense (!) - for the balance of the year.

The accounting major attends University of St. Francis - Fort Wayne.

Newcomer Efrain Davila has the credentials. Three time all-state selection at Bradley Bourbonnais High School and named to the NSCAA All-American team. The midfielder amassed an eye-popping 94 assists in his junior and senior seasons there.
